Southern Decadence Grand Marshals [SDGMs] XXVIII, Tony Langlinais & Thom "Smurf" Murphy, chose three grand marshals including Bianca Del Rio/Showgirl Star Extraordinare of Oz at 800 Bourbon St., Pat "Estelle" Ritter/Co-Bar Baron of Voodoo & "Big" Rick Thomas/Co-Bar Baron of Ninth Circle at Congo Square, as SDGMs XXIX, July 7. Coronation 2001 was hosted at 735 nightclub/bar, 735 Bourbon St., chosen by outgoing SDGMs XXVIII. The grand marshals chose "Menage a trois" as the 2001 Theme; Purple, Pink & Red as Colors & Lady Marmalade as Song.
